Weaving dreamily through the sounds that make a perfect Balearic afternoon by the pool, before moving in to the thumping dancefloor of Freddies, for a night of adventure and mischief.

Listen to it from start to finish, and imagine yourself spending the day at Pikes.

Words from S/A/M:

“I love playing poolside at Pikes. Sharing the soundtrack for sleepy heads as the hotel slowly comes to life in the sunshine, weaving dreamily through the afternoon when time stands still or picking up energy towards the evening. As excitement builds about what the night may hold, all the while celebrating the Balearic spirit Pikes is known and loved for. I’ve pulled from my collection sharing some of my faves to play in this magical space. Expect an eclectic selection of dreamy Mediterranean delights, jazzy and soulful flavours, a smattering of dub to disco chug, psychedelia to yacht rock and world fusion beats alongside some classics, quirky cover versions and music by talented Balearic producers who live here on the magic white island.

As day turns to night, Freddies turns into an electrifying space – one that is very special to me. I’ve spent so much time losing myself on the dancefloor to my heroes, so when its my turn to shape the energy, I feel really at one with everyone in the room and that’s such an intimate thing. No phones, just dancing and a shared love for the music. Knowing that you’re in Freddie Mercury’s former bedroom just elevates the whole feeling. That and the killer sound system! Each time is different and I love that Pikes gives me the freedom to explore a variety of music from whatever is currently floating my boat, some tried and tested classics of yesteryear mixed up in the new ways, dance floor bangers by some of our Pikes visiting artists who I’m inspired by, smashed in with some hands-in-the-air disco and house to driving bass heavy grooves and squelchy acid undertones, blending Italo-disco and electro-Balearic whilst staying in the Pikes after-dark flow.

Viva Pikes!”
